External Function

Hi,
I encountered a problem when i tried to call a C funtion from a PL/SQL program, this C function is located in one of the external library created by me. The error message is as following:

declare
*
ERROR at line 1:

ORA-28576: lost RPC connection to external procedure agent 
ORA-06512: at "ZHANGFH.ADD_SQL", line 0 
ORA-06512: at line 8

Could anyone kindly diagnose this problem for me?
