The rumour indicated _VAX_/VMS, although I do agree with you, since DEC is still announcing new VAXen. I would expect that DEC will stop supporting the VAX specific versions of VMS in the not to distant future, while continuing to support the Alpha versions. Given that they will still support V5.5-2 (and are still releasing patches for it), that not-too-distant-future could be 5-10 years.

This romour has been circulating for a while. I wouldn't be suprised if [Quoted] it was started by (dollar)Bill Gate$.
