US-PA-VF Job ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Position: Oracle Database Administrator Location: Valley Forge, PA
Salary Level: 39

Key Functions: Perform physical database design and implementation. Coordinate database software. Responsible for the accuracy, quality and integrity of the database. Responsible for integration of the database with BaaN. Participate in defining and implementing policies, procedures and standards related to data for the IT organization, in accordance with both the corporation and the business. Educate other IT team members and end users. Evaluate tools for database management. Assist with problem resolution, including participation in on-call rotation system.

Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Oracle database administration experience on UNIX platforms, 4 years of applications development experience and experience with Oracle 7. Strong knowledge of database concepts. Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills. Excellent organization and planning abilities. Strong oral and written communication skills. BS in computer science or equivalent experience. Preferred experiences: developing applications on HP-UX platforms; use of Windows NT; administering a BaaN database and experience with BaaN or other ERP systems; data modeling experience. A pre-employment drug screen (negative results) will be required as a condition of employment for successful external candidates. Background check may be required.
