Ari,

I believe the parameter in UTL_FILE_DIR and the value is the directory which the FOPEN will reference. You can even use "*" but it is not recommended for security reasons. I have found that the values for UTL_FILE_DIR are case-sensative - even on platforms such as WinNT. Also, if you specify a particular directory, you must also include the trailing delimiter (eg: "/usr/data/")
