PRO*C Link Problem

I am using Pro*C 2.2 and Microsoft Visual C++ 4.2. I can compile pre-compiled files fine but run into linking problems. I keep getting the error ': error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _sqlcxt' and am not able to find any info on resolving this problem. I only receive undefined external errors when linking. Any input would be helpful.
