company has been experiencing steady growth and has broadened its organizational structure by
adding Rawlings and Kunar to the management team to help respond to it.

"With the strong growth taking place at SFI, it is important that we have executives of the
caliber of Jim Rawlings, Mike McPhee and John Kunar leading the company into the future,"
said Sylvain Faust, president of SFI. "These individuals will complement our management team
and will help position SFI for its launch of SQL-Optimizer™ and beyond, growing the company
even more in the process."

In Jim Rawlings' new role at SFI, he is responsible for all sales and marketing initiatives
aimed at ensuring the continued sales growth of SFI's core products - SQL-Programmer® and
SQL-Sombrero™ - and to oversee the launch of the new SQL-Optimizer product line.
Responsibilities for the launch include development of distribution channels, direct sales,

Rawlings has more than 20 years experience in the high-technology sector. Prior to
joining SFI, he was with Oracle Corp. where he held senior strategic sales, marketing and global
business-development positions. Before that, he was employed by Control Data and Canada

will act as the primary business contact for key industry vendors, clients and government contacts.

McPhee is one of the original principals of SFI. He has more than 13 years experience
in the high-technology industry, which includes positions held in the areas of senior strategic sales,
marketing and business development. He holds a bachelor's of commerce honors degree, with
an emphasis in marketing and international business, from the University of Ottawa at Ottawa,
Canada.

John Kunar, vice president of product development, brings more than 19 years
