Large C Executables

With each Oracle release, our Pro*C programs are increasing in size. We are not upgrading to 7.3.2.3 and the C programs are a minimum of 2.3MB. With 7.2.2.3 they were around 1.6MB.
Anyone know how to trim these down? Thanks.
