Description:
Responsibilities:
Develop, Test and Support code using a wide range products of Apache Hadoop ecosystem: Such as Spark, Storm, Hive, HBASE, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie.

• Exposure to C/C++, java, Python, Unix Shell scripts, and PERL.
• Design, Develop and support data flows using: Apache Flume, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, Apache Camel.
• Design, develop and troubleshoot ad-hoc interfaces & data issues.
• Support data ingestion and processing routines written using Oracle SQL*Loader and stored PL/SQL procedures
• Support all phases of the Agile Development Life Cycle, including Development, Testing, UAT Support and production code deployments.
 

Skills:

• 5+ years hands on experience with products of Hadoop ecosystems (HDFS, Hive, HBASE, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie, Spark, Storm).
• Experienced in Java, C/C++, Shell Script, Python, Perl.
• Should be comfortable & experienced in TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP WS, REST, JMS, SFTP, SCP, RSYNC, Curl
• Good Familiarity with protocols : SNMP, TL1 etc an advantage.

Experience with Apache Flume, Apache NiFi, Apache kafka, Apache Camel is a big plus.

• Good SQL skills, SQLLDR and experience with relational databases will be needed on the job.
• Experience with noSQL databases (HBASE) is an added advantage
• Experience with DEVOPS tools is an advantage
• Exposure to analytical tools (Tableau, Oracle OBIEE or Spotfire) is an advantage
• Exposure to the AWS stack – EMR, EC2, etc
