Sr. Data Administrator (Cassandra & Spark) Project Location: New York City, NY & Jersey city, NJ Duration: 12 Months+
Job Description:

•	Admin – who can do clustering, who knows DataStax well.
•	DataStax Cassandra – customers working in those years.
•	Apache Solar, Apache Cassandra (open source)
•	Design, configure, and maintain Apache Cassandra cluster (Datastax Enterprise)
•	Analyze data access patterns and identify hotspots and bottlenecks.
•	Design and review data models.
•	Work with the development team in performance tuning CQL, SOLR and Spark queries
•	Define and establish best practices with Cassandra, including configuration, monitoring health and backups of the cluster.
•	Manage the storage capacity of the cluster and help plan for growth based on future project goals.
•	Experience in SOLR and SPARK, and how they work in conjunction with Cassandra is big PLUS
•	Experience with Cassandra data modeling and CQL scripting.
•	Experience with DataStax Enterprise ,SOLR, Spark
•	Experience with both Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
•	Knowledge of Java, Spring Tool Suites, Spring Framework

  Experience in Azure or AWS Environment is a PLUS
