Well, it looks like one of your disks decided to change the plane of existence and spend the rest of eternity in the higher spiritual spheres with no need for spinning and transferring data back and forth. May it rest in pieces. This is not a typo. When the R/W heads touch the spinning surface, they get torn off the handle, frequently with the pieces of the handle and end up flying around and filing the surface of the disk, at which point your nice 15k RPM device becomes the perfect doorstop.
