When going through the bugs related to Oracle table compression I came across several bugs that mention 'Compressed Data Storage'. For example:

Bug 14476078 - ORA-600 [kd9addSEUndo] with compressed table (Doc ID 14476078.8) Affected versions: 11.2.0.2; 11.2.0.3
Description:
This bug is only relevant when using Compressed Data Storage ORA-600 [kd9addSEUndo] can occur while inserting into a compressed table.

Bug 13591259 - Wrong result from query on transported OLTP compressed table with column comparison predicate (Doc ID 13591259.8) Affected versions: 11.2.0.2; 11.2.0.3
Description:
This bug is only relevant when using Compressed Data Storage A SQL may return wrong results if it has with a predicate that compares two columns in the same table when the table uses OLTP compression and has been transported.

OK, 'OLTP Compression' = 'Advanced Compression Option', but what is 'Compressed Data Storage'? Documentation search doesn't bring any matches. This isn't Exadata compression - MOS notes call Exadata compression 'HCC'.

BTW, what is 'transported table'? Received on Sat Jul 26 2014 - 02:10:37 CEST
