Unfortunately Oracle "products" displayed by Oracle Universal Installer don't match Oracle "products" and "options" listed in the licensing guide. In some cases separately licensed "item" doesn't even need to be installed - for example, you need a license to run queries against view ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY (and its derivatives).

I think for 11g most commonly used separately licensed options would be:
- partitioning

  • real application testing/database replay
  • on-the-fly compression
  • OEM "packs" such as Diagnostics and Tuning

This list is not complete, you need to read licensing manual for all details. Received on Fri Nov 20 2009 - 01:13:11 CST
