My point is I am not able to restore from "latest" backup because of the "alter database open resetlogs" done with earlier restore (this caused the issue with resetlogs_change# and next_change#). And I want to know to avoid such situation what should be done. Because whatever I have found on Net seems to tell me that my procedure is correct.
