There are additional situations, such as a large organization having a site license and obscure sites that haven't been updated for whatever reason, as well as any regular place that tells someone to do something but simply doesn't give them metalink. Or myoracle, as the case may be.

We can't really know unless the OP tells us, and telling people you are running unlicensed in a public forum may not be a great idea.

Even if the OP has support, support people aren't going to be real helpful giving 8i training to a newbie through support calls.
