The whole internet blogging about oracle scene has kind of seen it's day ... probably most of the oracle related forums are down.

There seems to be a divide growing between the oracle pro's with some experience who are able to "serve themselves" out of metalink etc ( since god knows oracle support is not what it used to be ) ... and the people that don't want to do any legwork themselves just ask questions that have been asked time and time again.

I for one don't see any point in "going to an oracle sponsored forum" for help by people not necessarily employed by oracle when you are not getting things solved directly by oracle support ... but maybe that's just me? Plus the whole oracle ace thing has an unsavory aroma.

Now Tom Kyte's asktom.oracle.com that's a whole different enchilada ... I think that is very well done. Received on Sun Mar 15 2009 - 16:35:59 CDT
