Although not good news it explain the situation, thanks again!

When I think how I pushed myself to learn joins the "right" way after reading Oracle doc. stating
that we should not use old (+) style but rather the "new" one... *sigh*

I'll sure go to read metalink comments about that...

(btw we are using Oracle 9i 9.2.0.6)
