To be fair Daniel, the first post by Tony was in response to a a derogatory comment made about hima by Sybrand. Everyone is welcome to defend themselves, and if you view his defence as unwelcome, then my thesis is that Tony at fault.

Issues with the Oracle docs have been raised in this group before and will be argued again. This is a bitter pill to swallow for some people in this group, as proven by the level of maturity in the responses by a prominent poster, but it is not wrong and the discussion is not be unwelcome. There is nothing wrong with comparing/contrasting the documentation of Oracle and SQL Server (or any others). To not do so in fact is tunnel vision.
