Problem at linux installation with ihsodbc

Hello,

I'm trying to install a 10g R2 database on a debian host. I chose to install on Debian as I know that distributions for many years now and Oracle is more then enough new stuff for me.

The installation process was okay, the only problem was a reproducible error at "invoking target 'all_no_orcl ihsodbc' of makefile .../oracle/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk" .

All requested libraries are installed but I don't achieve in installing the DBMS without that mistake. Even though I read that the error is not so important for a good working set I really do prefer installing without any errors.

Maybe I will need to work with ODBC and the error message seems to tell that some ODBC functionality might not be available for me.

Did anybody find a suitable solution for that issue?

Thanks in advance
