RMAN RECOVERY TIME WINDOW DISCREPANCY

Working on oracle 10.2.0.3 Enterprise

I was working with standard recovery time window of 7 days

Earliest full backup 11th May

The rest between 14th and 18th May

I changed recovery time window to 4 days

I then executed a delete obsolete command & expected the 1th may backup to be picked up and deleted ....however this didn't happen and no backups were considered obsolete.

Should the 11th May backup have been deleted in accordance with new recovery time window or is it somehow linked to the recoverty time window at the time of it's creation?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give Chris B Received on Fri May 18 2007 - 06:01:31 CDT
