Call me newsgroup illiterate, but I just spent the last twenty minutes before finally finding the vaunted charter to which everyone is always referring. I figured out what got peoples dander up about a three days after I started visiting here, so I had never actually read it, but I can't say it's an easy thing to find.

For anyone interested, the following link is where it is (at least I think this is the "official" one).

http://www.orafaq.com/usenet/charter1.htm

as well as the other, substituting charter2, etc...

I just think we should point people there rather than berating them for not having read something that in my mind, is not an easy find. I searched on oracle charter, "usenet group charter" oracle, and about six or seven others. I ended up with 600 hits from posters telling other people to read it (whatever that particular search was)...LOL! I even saw a recommendation suggesting what I am recommending, and posters said no one would read it anyway... LOLOL!

I just think it is unfair to not provide a link to something we are suggesting/encouraging, etc. someone read.

Thanks,
