You can also remove the files under cdump and trace files under bdump. Do not remove the alert logs under bdump though. But you should control the size of the alert log. You can just make a backup of the alert log and then remove it. Oracle will automatically one for you. As another DBA suggested, you should do this via a schedule task or cron task on a regular basis. How about the archive log, you should also archive and remove them on a regular basis. Other possible candidates are the audit log file generated under audit_file_dest, the SQL net log files under ORACLE_HOME/network/log and trace. Received on Tue Jul 25 2006 - 12:48:21 CDT
