You can't rename an ASM file, you can only create an alias for it and use either name or alias for addressing the file. ASM names files in specific way (something similar to tablespace_fileno.asmfileid.incarnation) and this can't be changed. However, with OMF files, and especially with largefile tablespaces, you seldom need to use ASM file names, and you can use their aliases if needed.
