No, that is not why lsnrctl reports security is *ON*. I have Advanced Security installed, but even when taking it all out of listener.ora (and even sqlnet.ora!), the listener still reports security is ON.

Cannot confirm it is due to AS, but that's all I can think of. The manual will probably prove me wrong, but I'm too lazy to look it up. I'll just lurk :)
