OEM Error during 10g R2 install on Solaris 9

During 10g database install on Solaris 9 SPARC station, the DBCA seems to hang and eventually returns the following error message:

Enterprise Manager configuration failed due to the following error - Error starting Database Control. Refer to log file at
$ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs/dbca/SID/emConfig.log. You can retry
configuring this DB w/ EM later by manually running
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/emca.

The rest of the install completes successfully. I check the log file and it appears that a connection is being refused on Port 3938 - the default OEM Agent port. I have reinstalled 3 times now with the same issue each time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

TIA
