EXACTLY which "many other data related issues" does this solve?

Is this yet another solution in search of a problem?

I am less than convinced that sending unencrypted data across the 'Net without proper authentication & changing data in other folks' repository is something I'd want done to any of "my" data. Received on Thu Dec 29 2005 - 20:25:24 CST
