Job displays as having problem, but job does not seem to run

Hello to all,
first of all the environment:
Oracle 10.1.0.3
Windows 2003 Server SP1 fully patched

I scheduled a job to run directly reorganizing 2 tables that had high_water_mark way away from actual data-size. This job seems to run forever, here is the output from OEM:
Status Stop Pending
Scheduled Nov 8, 2005 6:30:26 PM GMT+01:00 Started Nov 8, 2005 6:30:29 PM GMT+01:00 Elapsed Time 1 days, 21 hours, 18 minutes, 23 seconds

As you can see I tried to stop the job, but it does not seem to respond. I then looked at the generated log-file, which has same content (except for table_names) than successful jobs. So my assumption is, if there is a log-file with content the job must have finished its run. Am I right on this one? I started to explore further an look at many dba_scheduler views but none of them even displayed this job. I am now wondering where I can get more information aout this job besides OEM.

Any help appreciated,
