dear all,

i am facing a strange problem...
if i am using a wrong sql querry in my applicaton to fetch the information i am getting an oracle core dump. the flow is not at all coming to exception handling as it fails at database itself.

the oracle log file( i.e. xyz.trc ) says

KSTDUMP: End of in-memory trace dump
ssexhd: crashing the process...
Shadow_Core_Dump = PARTIAL

i wonder why its happening
it is for sure its an oracle setup problem but i am not sure what causing this.

thanks in advance : )

any clue will be of great help

regards
