Just to add, did very quick ( possible incorrect ) trace on server process ( connection ) - no sign of malloc, brk or anything like that to deal with session memory.
Where is actual resize/size done ?

Also , I have 1G of ram. Set SGA_TARGET to 5G - starts, no problem. Set to 15000G - doesn't want to start. Where is limit calculated ? Also granule size doesn't change, no matter how I play with SGA_TARGET ( contrary to Kyte's beta book ).
