See bug database on metalink about shared pool, look at the patch release notes about memory leaks. Make a decision about what version to upgrade to. google for ORA-7445. In addition to what Sybrand said, if you have access to OEM and it's advisors you can get some pretty pictures that are actually somewhat useful.

I think a boot is necessary to change SGA_MAX_SIZE, but you really should watch things for a while before you mess with it - depending on how much physical memory you really have available via the OS, too. The cache and shared pool sizes do look kind of strange, now that you mention it.

Hey it's windows, doesn't it reboot anyways?
