If you don't have RMAN (I don't see it mentioned anywhere by the OP), read the manual called "User-Managed Backup and Recovery Guide" on tahiti.oracle.com (especially chapter 6) (http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96572/toc.htm). Or even better, get an experience Oracle DBA to do it, to see what can be salvaged from what you have left of the database. Before trying anything, make sure to have a complete cold backup of your current database.
