You missed the entire context of what Jim Kennedy asked you. He no doubt knows you are working inside an Oracle database because to have posted here and not be would have marked you as having the IQ of a fruit fly.
He specifically asked "Why are you creating a table"? And the question is still awaiting a well thought-out answer. The implication being that he believes there is no purpose served in doing so: And I agree. Oracle is NOT SQLServer and you can not treat it like it is.
BTW: Even if you were to try to build a table, which would be a horribly bad practice, your syntax is a non-starter in Oracle. Best go to http://tahiti.oracle.com and bookmark it. Then go to a decent bookstore and get a copy of Tom Kyte's book "Expert one-on-one Oracle." I'd suggest you not write another line of code until you've made it through the first three chapters.
