Thats possible - I wasn't working with Tru64 and Alphas until 4 years ago. I know that HP announced only a year or so ago that they would stop supporting Tru64 in 2010.

We are putting pressure on our vendor to support the platform we want. We aren't just going for HP-UX simply because they purchased the IP for Tru64 and then retired it. Even though the application is expensive, they don't have any other vendors on HP-UX (they do have two major clients still on Tru64). They have agreed to port to our preferred platform, just not in the time frame we require - if it wasn't for the sudden growth we have had (and some performance issues with some critical new functionality the vendor is currently working on), everything would be OK. Our real problem is that we need increased performance now and we don't want to invest money in Tru64 when we will be moving away from it within the next two years and none of the other supported platforms (Solaris and Windows) is suitable for us. By the end of the 3rd quarter next year, they will support 32 and 64 bit linux, 64 bit Windows, AIX and Solaris - just got to find a solution until then.
