Sure. Those that don't either have been exposed to sqlserver or don't know how to write efficient sql, whether for sqlserver or Oracle, or blame invariably the database when the performance is bad. In almost all cases it can be demonstrated you can tune the server and database whatever you want, but you won't resolve it. Note: Generic frontends are a marketing hype. It won't work, ever.
