Hello Karen,



there is an excellent white paper at Oracle Metalink which describes
how to create a RAC Instance. You should run GSD Service in the
foreground and there is also a way to make dbca writing a logfile with
more informations (see Note: 232239.1). Please do both and come back
with the informations you will get by doing this.
