Hi,

I'm using the following command:

    rman target system/manager nocatalog cmdfile inc1_test.rcv where the inc1_test.rcv file is as follows: run {

        allocate channel c1 type disk
        format='/backup_test/backup_inc1.bak' ;
        backup incremental level = 1 (database);
        release channel c1;}

Btw. what is your DB/hardware?
Mine is Oracle EE 8.1.7.4.0 and Sun Solaris 8 (SPARC).

br,
Piotr
