No actually the pga_aggregate_target is NOT per session it is for the whole database.

The oracle doc is somewhat confusing and not well written about this parm but there is some kind of limit that no session can use more than some percentage of the pga_aggregate_target.

There some tuning views that you can query to check "predictions" of how useable different sizes for the pga_aggregate_target is ... or of course the gui "tuning advice" through the oem. Received on Tue Aug 31 2004 - 12:40:23 CDT
