Hi all,
I am running Oracle 9i R1 64-bit on Solaris 8 SPARC.

I have a few web applications (Tomcat and ColdFusion MX) on another server connecting to the Oracle databases.

Sometimes I get the following error when running an SQL query from a web application:
"ORA-04031: unable to allocate 8192 bytes of shared memory"

What is the cause? How do I fix it?

Thanks in advance! Received on Thu Jul 01 2004 - 03:51:28 CDT
