Likely no one can, as you don't specify what you did to synchronise standby and production.
Also, despite numerous warnings 8.1.6 is a can of worms, which is now desupported for more than 2 years, you still seem to be using it. I think a visit to Metalink is in order to check out whether there any known bugs with respect to standby databases.
