Could you clarify the question please.

Except for test cases, I simply can not understand what situation can result in a legitimate solution based on "your question has several answers but I will arbitrarily discard some of them".

In my experience, such a solution implies an incomplete data model. It's the 'arbitratily' part that's throwing me!
