Win2k/9.2 Service dying with no alert log

Here's the situation:



We have a 9.2.0.1.0 server running on Win2K.  Several times, we've had
the Oracle<sid> service die without a message in the alert log.  Win2k
puts up a dialog box telling us the service has exited, but no further
information.  



Is there anything else to check that might give us some information?
There's no unusual activity or anything, it just dies randomly.
