no, it wasn't RI because I reloaded the data from the tables "manually" and the data is the same and the data pulls up. In fact, I had to load in the data following RI rules with tables containing foreign key indexes loaded last, so I looked at the (undocumented) database pretty carefully. The problem is that I don't have the time to investigate the application scripts that call the data to find what the original errors might have been. I presume the problem was user rights now that I think about it and they were probably imported with the import command.

In general I feel like our DBA is not being honest with me and not exploring all options before asking me to solve his problems (I am a low level manager and programmer, not an OCP), but the comments that people left have sort of exonerated him.
