CreORA-02236 error

Hello.

Newbie here. I am trying to create a database and instance in Oracle 9i with the database config assistant and I keep getting an ORA-02236 error - invalid filename. I can't figure out that I am doing wrong. Any thoughts? I've looked on the Oracle site, but to no avail on any issues I am encountering. Thanks.
