Hi All ,

I've red hat 9 installed on my pc and I was trying to install oracle 9i but with no luck , I just want to know the following :

  1. Do I need a particular version of red hat ( ie professional , AS, ES, WS) to be able to install oracle 9i on my machine ?
  2. Is there a red hat command that I can use to know what type of red hat( ie professional , AS, ES, WS) I am using ?
  3. If I install oracle successfully on red hat , would I be able to see oracle option on the start menu , I mean for example , in ms windows , after you install oracle you go to start then programs then Oracle OraHome and so on ,

thanks in advance.
