watchdog

I've tried installing the oracle cluster manager (v9.2.0.1) on a RedHat Linux 7.3 machine. For a single node at the moment only.

The Watchdog daemon does appear to run correctly. It will eventually time out with the error:

"watchdog failed to start service in 10 sec".

The system does not have a hardware watchdog card, so I have the softdog module into the kernel.

The wdttest1 and wdttest2 programs both generate output along the following lines:

        Passed: 1 sec.
        Passed: 2 sec.
        Passed: 3 sec.
        Passed: 4 sec.
        Passed: 5 sec.

Is there anything I'm overlooking?
