I've just come across a notice that Chris Date will be in the UK (specifically Edinburgh) on 24th October, to give a series of lectures on various topics in database theory.

I went to hear him when he was in Oxfordshire a few months ago, and thought he had some very interesting things to say, so I thought I'd pass on the URL in case anyone was interested.
