What you want to get data *out* of the database as well? Madness I tell you :(

Seriously though you do have a serious point, though one may find that you have to buy 9iAS or BEA or whatever and a host of clever tools to replace the lingua franca of SQL. Perhaps OQL (object query language) is there to be written

ENUMERATE MANDATORY_PROPERTIES OF user_object WHERE property_type='USER_DEFINED';
LIST INHERITANCE OF METHOD '_object constructor';
