Hi all,

do you know whether it is possible (in 8.1.7.4) to change the priority of a message already enqueued in a AQ queue ?

Of course, i know that I can issue an UPDATE targeting the underlying queue table; I wonder whether this is
a) supported
b) if not, if someone has already done this, without burning his/her fingers.

I've always got the impression that messages in the queue are to be considered read-only until dequeue time, put perhaps the priority column may be an exception to this sanity rule.

All the processing is in PL/SQL.

Thanks in advance, at least for reading
