And that's another issue that's been discussed on the mailing list :-)

It appears that Oracle have changed the behaviour regarding stripping of trailing spaces from VARCHAR2 bind variables in 9.2's OCI - I don't think there was absolute agreement on this issue yet, but there are some Oracle bugs on listed on Metalink relating to similar issues.

You may want to watch out if you do have trailing spaces in your VARCHAR2 fields, but generally it doesn't seem to much of a problem, particularly since the new behaviour seems to be to preserve them rather than discard them.
