Two different explain plans for same query

Morning Francois,

the default on exp is to estimate stats, and the default on imp is to execute analyze statements in the dump file.

I suspect you have not collected stats on the live system, while the test side is being estimated whenever you do an import. This gives the cost based optimser stats to work with, so it figures out a better execution plan.
