How to Upgrade the Apache/tom cat server on Oracle 9i DB server

Dear Readers,

The apache tomcat webserver that is bundled with the Oracle 9i database server is 1.x. the latest available on the internet is 4.1.x.

After installing the tomcat server and creating <CATALINA_HOME> and other good stuff, how do we tell teh oracle database engine to use the latest tomcat server. the 1.x tomcat server is using the port :8080.

any installation procedures or links to such documents on the internet will be appreciated.
